Both the IMED Levante hospital and IMED Elche, the two oldest centres in the IMED group, will renew their QH (Quality Healthcare) recognition in 2024. This award is given to healthcare organisations that strive to implement a progressive and continuous quality system over time and that have obtained the necessary certifications to demonstrate that they provide the maximum guarantees to their processes. The recognition is based on an innovative methodology that recognises healthcare excellence and promotes quality as a culture of continuous improvement.
Leading hospitals and healthcare centres throughout Spain already have this certification, which must be renewed periodically, demonstrating that all processes relating to healthcare quality are kept up to date. The audit committee for these awards is made up of relevant institutions such as the Spanish Association for Quality (AEC), the Platform of Patient Organisations (POP), the Spanish Society of Health Managers (SEDISA) and the Institute for the Development and Integration of Healthcare (IDIS).
IMED Valencia and Gandía also have the QH seal
In addition, in 2023, the IMED Valencia and IMED Gandía hospitals were also awarded the QH distinction. This makes them the only private hospitals in the province of Valencia to obtain it.
