Football Club “Ciudad de Benidorm” and IMED Levante made a deal in which both institutions engage to support and encourage basic sport in our city.
The club, that trains in the Rincon de Loix fields next to IMED Hospital, will have physiotherapy assistance of the health center professionals. “We are proud to count with IMED support and offer a fast and quick service to our footballers. If we want to reach the highest divisions of the rank where we participate, we have to be surrounded by the best collaborations”, pointed out Miguel Aguilar, president of the Club.
“All our players already came to the hospital through the Federation insurance, but now we achieved to go further with this link”, point out Aguilar. On the next weeks it is scheduled that IMED staff make some conferences directed to players, coaches and even parents. “We decided to begin with a first aid workshop, that offer some basic skills of how to act if there is an accident or fainting during the match or training”, specified Dr. Carlos Yago, manager of the hospital center.
Like this, it is planned that all members of the club (players and parents), have the benefit of some advantages to access some health services that the hospital provide. Dr. Yago said, “to have this kind of agreement with institutions that are working so well for basic sports of our city make us feel proud and encourage us to keep working on this line, we think that it strengthens our organization values as the effort, team work or overcoming desire. To support sport among children is one of the most powerful implements that exist to promote health”.
